Square Makes - Easy Wrap Cowl

This is a super easy wrap cowl - that is made from a knitted or crochet rectangle.  It's simple but looks sophisticated when finished.

All you need to make this is a rectangle - so it gives you lots of creative licence.  You can knit or crochet and in any weight yarn and stitch style you like!

Once you have a rectangle big enough, you need to fold it like below.  I also kept the tail long so I could use it to sew up the first edge.

Next, you want to sew the edges together as shown in the photo below.

Once you have sewn the edges so it doesn't flap around as you try to put it on, the item is finished.  I added on some wooden buttons just to break up the block colour.

And that's it - its really easy and looks smart once finished.  This would make a great gift and can be personalised to suit!

My example used the following:

Aran yarn (acrylic blend in a pale cream)
Single crochet stitches (UK version)
